The junior high and high schools at Senatobia were locked down Friday, April 20 beginning at 11 a.m., after a bomb threat, according to law enforcement officials.

Senatobia Police Chief Steve Holts said a message was written on a bathroom wall threatening to blow up the school.

All passages to campus were immediately blocked off by law enforcement.

Students and teachers were directed to nearby Northwest Mississippi Community College as a precaution. They were allowed to come back on the Senatobia campus at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Both schools were shut down the rest of the day.
