Bruce Eddie Archer, Jr.

Bruce Eddie Archer, Jr., 53, of Byhalia, passed away July 11, 2018 at his residence.
He was the owner of Ed’s Pawn Shop and Salvage Yard in Byhalia, and a lifetime member of Olive Branch Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Taylor Archer of Byhalia; stepson, Lane Oxner of Byhalia; father, Bruce Archer of Byhalia; sister-in-law, Amy Archer; brother-in-law, Billy Wayne Howell; nieces, Holly Howell, Hanna Howell, Katie Archer and Amanda Archer; and nephews, Steven Howell and Ryan Archer.
Services were held Saturday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at Olive Branch Church of Christ. Burial followed in Southwoods Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.

Thelma Baker,
Thelma Baker, 84, of Cottonville, MS passed away July 9, 2018 at Senatobia Healthcare and Rehab.
She is survived by her husband, James Lee Baker of Cottonville, MS; daughters, Susan Baker and Kathy Spencer (Kam) both of Senatobia, MS; son, Mike Baker (Robin) of Senatobia, MS; grandchildren, Jay, Lindsey, Alishya, Kyle, Baker and Lee and great grandchildren, Jaylee, Hunter, Tyler, Brenleigh, Lyndsay, Ava and Maddie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ansel and Lorrette Atkinson; sister, Faye Holmes and brothers, John Atkinson, Charlie Atkinson and Jerry Atkinson.
Memorials may be sent to Evansville Baptist Church where she was a member. Services were held Wednesday, July 11, at 2:30 p.m. at Evansville Baptist Church.
Burial followed in Evansville Cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Arie Collins
Mrs. Arie Collins, 103, died July 9, 2018 at Tunica County Health & Rehab in Tunica, MS. She is survived by her son, James Gluston Whitaker of Los Angeles, California, 3 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.

Cody Evan Cosby
Cody Evan Cosby, 33, of Strayhorn, MS passed away July 5, 2018 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Wendi Ward Cosby; daughters, Leikyn Cosby and Harper Cosby; son, Wyatt Cosby all of Strayhorn, MS; grandparents, Phillip and Judy O’Neal of Strayhorn, MS, J. L. Hankins of Senatobia, MS, Shirley Brandon of Tennessee and Mary Ward Thornton of Senatobia, MS; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Kim Ward of Como, MS; sisters-in-law, Megan Ward Self and Kaitlyn Ward of Como, MS; and brother-in-law, Gunner Ward of Como, MS.
Services were held Sunday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial followed in Senatobia Memorial Cemetery.

Randy Earl Gaines
Randy Earl Gaines, 68 of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.  Randy was born Saturday, March 25, 1950 in Memphis, Tenn.
He is predeceased by his parents Robert Eugene and Donnie Marie Gaines.  Survivors include, his life partner, Tracey Rogers of Coldwater, Miss; children, Alison Galler (Matt), Michael (Lauren) Gaines, Justin Gaines; a sister, Sandra Miles; grandchildren, Grace,  Nicholas,  Sam Galler and Emilia Gaines
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Alpha Omega Veterans Service, Inc. of Memphis, Tenn.; DeSoto County Veterans Park of Southaven; and Wounded Warrior Project.  Private services will be held at a later date.

Jessie James Newson
Jessie James Newson, 74, of Senatobia, died July 8, 2018 at his home. Funeral services were Saturday, July 14 at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, July 13th. Burial followed the services at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He also leaves three sisters; Bennie Newson of Senatobia, Mary Ann Cathey of Holly Springs and Ruby Hubbard of Eads, TN.; and one brother, Frank Newson of Memphis, TN. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home in Senatobia was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. N.L. “Bo” Young
Mr. N.L. “Bo” Young, 87, of Senatobia, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Young was born January 13, 1931 in Byhalia, to the late Ruby Jenkins Young and Van Loyd Young. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Senatobia and proudly served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was a former player for the St. Louis Cardinals organization, but above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Mr. Young leaves behind his loving family which includes his wife of 65 years, Shirley Wesley Young of Senatobia; three sons, Mike Young (Ofe) of Houston, Texas., Tim Young (Brenda) of Booneville; and Cliff Young (Stacey) of Senatobia; one brother, Allan Young (Donna) of Knoxville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane House; two brothers, David Young and Sidney Young and his parents.
Visitation was  held in the Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Graveside services followed on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 5:45 p.m. in Senatobia Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 317 Ward St., Senatobia, MS 38668 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Ray-Nowell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
